Bad Rat Studio is the ceramic practice of Audrey Valbuena, a designer and creative who came to ceramics as an artistic practice outside of digital work. Her ceramics are predominantly handbuilt, embracing the imperfection of human touch. She hopes they bring people a Big Feelings and serve as relics of this specific moment in time. The name Bad Rat Studio is an ode to her sculpture series capturing the personalities of Brooklyn through comic-like, anthropomorphized rats.
